Sailing into the Wind

Sailing into the WindSometimes life is like a cruise on troubled waters, and it is difficult then to keep one’s balance.

Mechanism: The handle moves an eccentric disc, which raises a ram and tilts the boat to the side. The mainsail turns out of the wind, and the sailor pulls the rudder and lays over the ship’s side to keep his balance – size of the assembled model: 21 x 9 x 47 cm.

Designed by Walter Ruffler. Difficulty: Medium.
