The magnificent Stephenson’s Rocket, makes a very special present for a budding engineer or railway enthusiast.

Stephenson’s Rocket has an innovative design which influenced locomotive history. The original engine can be seen at The Science Museum in London.

A more whimisical railway comes from the legendary automatist Rowland Emmett. In 1951 he published the Emmett Festival Railway cutout book (a cherished favourite of Keith Newstead) and a passenger carrying version called the The Far Tottering and Oystercreek Railway was created for the Festival of Britain, in Battersea Park, London.
