Kinetic Art Film Festival – FREE

Sunday 21st December 4pm

Presented by Liz Keim of the Exploratorium, San Francisco

For more than 100 years, artists and scientists have been using the kinetic framework of moving pictures to capture moments in time. Through stop-motion animation, documentary portraiture, and other experimental techniques, filmmakers create short visual narratives that transform commonplace situations into humorous dioramas. From Ladislas Starewicz's 1912 "Revenge of a Kinematograph Cameraman" to Virgil Widrich's 2003 "Fast Film", come and see the many dynamic and unusual ways in which filmmakers explore and interpret human drama.
